10:00AM
I had nice online chats with Floriana and MaryJo last evening and then went up to bed around 9:00PM. I got a lot done yesterday. If felt really good to have a schedule and to be able to check things off as I accomplished them. But man oh man, whas I beat at the end of the day.
Roy and I had eggs for breakfast which is our usual breakfast on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I really had to push myself to get out the door with Corbin for our walk in the King's forest. It was just below freezing so he wasn't muddy when we got home and thus a bath was not necessary.
I just noticed that I hadn't flipped the calendar in my study yet to March. It is a great calendar with area sceens done in water colors by Roger Ferreira. This month's sceen is the Carnegie Gallery in Dundas. Thank you to my friend Jean and gave the calendar to me for my birthday.
I have another desk calendar with daily quotes from the book, Don't Sweat the Small Stuff . . . , Yesterday's quote reminded me of my friend Michelle and I posted it on her Facebook wall. It said, "Enthusiasm is that spark of energy and sense of interest and inspiration that ignites effort, good ideas, intention, creativty, and hard work."
Today's quote said, "Enthusiastic people are imaginative, inspirational, and just plain fun to be around." I sent this one to my friend, Rachel.
One of my affirmations on which I reflected states, "My work is for the benefit of the whole world . . . my work is my love poured out." After I'd written it on the page of my journal I realized the watermark on the page was that of a water drop on water and the ripples it makes. How fitting an image to apply to all that we do everyday. All of our actions have an impact on someone who in turn makes an impact on another person's life.

OK. It's been a long day with lots accomplished. We had a great dinner. We had a wonderful "Winetini" followed by pot stickers for an appitizer. I then prepared a fantastic pork stir fry with zuchini, mushrooms and a bit of pineapple over brown rice. Desert was lemon pudding cake with berry frozen yogurt.
Signing of for another day.

So . . . I've not posted since last Thursday. What have I been doing all that time? I did some cooking and spent a lot of time working on music. I also gave a lot of thought to my previous month's activity and wondered what I really did other than take care of Corbin. To answer that question I did some planning on Sunday to schedule my week days. Now I know where they are going. Today started at 6:30. After breakfast and feeding Corbin, Corbin and I were off for a walk at 8:00AM. We were back to the house and cleaned up by 9:30. I took an hour for meditation and contemplation followed by some housekeeping. I had lunch at noon and then did some laundry and ironing. Around 2:30 I bathed and dressed and then took Corbin for another walk before I went grocery shopping.
I started dinner at 4:00PM and then checked email and Facebook. Dinner was at 6:00PM and then kitchen cleanup at 7:00. Tonight I have dinner invitations to send out.
I felt like I accomplished a lot now that I actually put it on paper. Several times today I read that we should do all that we do as if making a difference for the entire world.

Long Day! Led the Spiritual Practices Group at church in celebrating our senses. It was a wild overload experience that we all enjoyed. It was great to disucss ways to develope and focus our senses as part of our spriritual practice.
I also had a chance to meet with the CEO of the Hamilton/Burlington United Way to discuss some volunteer opportunities for the 2010 Campaign. It was a very good meeting and I'll meet with some staff and other leadership volunteers in mid-March.
Also had choir rehearsal tonight. I'm tired and ready for bed.

Last evening was a relaxing evening at home with Roy. He wasn't feeling well so he rested in bed in hopes of warding off a possible cold. He has a full weekend coming up with the search committee at church.
I slept well and had some interesting dreams. I woke up from a dream in which I was helping to renovate a building into a coffee/sandwich shop with an outdoor cafe.
We slept in a bit while Roy considered not going to work today; however, today is a teaching day so off to work he went.
I had lots of catching up on Facebook posts and email. That's all done so now I'll move on to my to-do list that includes:
Dinner Invitations
Roy's B-day party invitations
Church photo's
groceries
house keeping (got a lot done yesterday)
laundry (got some done yesterday)
install new thermostat
baby blanket (did a little bit)
sweater
immigration paperwork
Tonight I rehears with the Mowhawk Singers.

OK. 12 hours since my last post and it has been a productive day. I got quite a bit of housekeeping and laundry done, went grocery shopping and fixed a great dinner. With these tasks complete, I'll be able to move onto some of the other things on my to-do-list.

I woke very early this morning around 4:30. I fell back to sleep and then found it difficult to get out of bed - low energy day. I think it is the low preasure system that is bringing with it our first winter weather advisory.
It is snowing right now and I'm going to head to the grocery store soon.
I attended a wonderful intro session for the Human Awareness Institute (HAI) Midwest [www.hai.org] at the home of Aukje. I also met Alex from Shanti Yoga Studio [www.shantiyogainhamilton.com]
I have a long list of things to do; however, I am very low energy today.
A special thank you to Kathleen Thompson Hicks for her inspiration to pick up and resume my blog that I started last fall.
